Both of these shows were moved from February to April to accommodate the Olympics, and have now been cancelled altogether to accommodate a construction timeline tied to the 2011 Grey Cup game. GVHBA office have been receiving a steady stream of emails from upset members who expect to suffer significant business losses. One member said he signed $1 million worth of business from leads secured at last year’s home show. Another said his company books between $500,000 and $1.5 million in business as a direct result of leads from the show. Yet another estimates his loss will be in the $500,000 range, all this in a challenging economic climate.
